V-Day Look + Self-Love & More Love

Hello loves,

I hope you all are having a lovely + loving February. During this month, remember that giving yourself the love you need not only can benefit yourself, but others around you too. I know, that with this month comes Valentine’s Day; and with Valentine’s Day can come the worries of not having a date or someplace to go or someone to be with and post photos for the gram. Please be easy with yourself. You do not need to be with someone or rush to have a romantic partner/connection just because of one day. Love does not have to romantically involve another person. Love comes in all forms-most importantly coming from the one that should be at the center of it all, yourself.

March Beauty Favorites

Hello loves,

I’m sharing the beauty products that I have been loving non-stop over the past month with you all today. From purple hues to makeup enhancers, these products have become must-haves for me on almost everyday of the week.

I recently decided to give the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer a try, and boy, am I in love. Not only does this bronzer smell like chocolate, but it also adds the perfect amount of warmth to my face when I need it. It’s super blendable and buildable making it perfect to use for day-to-night looks. I love using this bronzer for contouring, no matter if I’m going for a chiseled or soft application.

The NYX Tango With Bronzing Powder in Shimmering Light and Deep Tan is a golden dream come true. I’ve been using this duo to not only bronze up my complexion, but as a highlight as well since there is a shimmery component within its formula. And when it comes to lasting all day, the NYX Tango With Bronzing Powder will have your skin glowing like no tomorrow.

Speaking of having your makeup lasting all day, I have been blown away with the Wet n’ Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray. I picked this little beauty baby up at a local Target, after being a dedicated fan to e.l.f’s Makeup Mist and Set. I tested this makeup setting spray out for a wedding and was incredibly happy with how fresh it kept my makeup for over 8 hours! All I did was spritz the formula a couple of times onto my face after applying my makeup and then I was set for the rest of the day. I totally recommend this for anyone in the market for an affordable and high-quality makeup setting spray.

Eyes:

IMG_3035My under eye area has been bright and right with the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Concealer and the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder. I’ve used Maybelline concealers ever since I was in high school, and the creamy formula in this one meets my expectations by far. It doesn’t crease much and is very easy to blend; set with the Laura Mercier powder on top and your dark under eyes will have gone to the light side in no time.  IMG_3036
Ever since the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara was released I’ve been more than intrigued. Like the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, I finally caved to see just what all the hype was with this mascara. I am such a fan of mascaras that give you full lashes which don’t appear spidery, but instead gives them an almost feathery effect. This mascara does just that, and it reminds me so much of the L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara which I have loved for years. The Better Than Sex Mascara just takes it up a notch!

I’m not one to do eye looks on the regular, but when I do I tend to gravitate towards neutral eye shadows that have more than one hue within them. H&M’s beauty line has quickly become one of my favorites for the quality and detail found within each product’s make. H&M’s eye shadow in Creamy Almond has been my go-to shade as of late. All I do is apply it with Wet n’ Wild’s eyeshadow brush all over my lid and blend it out to show off all the beautiful brown, golden tones within its silky formula.

As for the Wet n’ Wild brush, if you haven’t heard about this drugstore brush line than I am happy to let you in on the know! Wet n’ Wild released a makeup brush line that is cruelty-free, vegan, incredibly soft and sold at an amazing price. Currently, many of the brushes are out of stock, but Wet n’ Wild has announced that they will be restocked soon. Get ready to grab them when you can!

Brows:

IMG_3597If you know me, you know I am a  ColourPop fanatic. Anything that this beautiful beauty brand releases is absolutely phenomenal. So, when the brand announced it would be coming out with brow products I of course, ordered them the morning they were released. I received the Brow Pencil and Brow Colour in Bangin’ Brunette. I’m not crazy about filling in my brows with creme gel formulas, but the Brow Colour is something I’ve been rather enjoying for full face makeup looks. For a more everyday brow though, that I have totally fallen head over heels for, the Brow Pencil is flawless. I love filling in my brows with the creamy pencil formula and then blending it out for a softer appearance with the spoolie on the end. My brows stay “on fleek” 24/7 with this brow product.

Lips:

IMG_3599Lippies are my beauty guilty pleasure. I always love adding them to my collection, even if I am running out of storage space! The NYX Lip Lingerie in Embellishment, ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Solow and ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Tansy have been on rotation in my makeup bag. The NYX Lingerie lippie is a beautiful liquid-matte-formula that makes wearing nude hues for anyone easy as pie. Embellishment is a mesmerizing, soft mauve color that I am smitten with.

Lately, I’ve been also wanting to step outside my comfort zone when it comes to my lippie selection. This includes choosing more brown hued lippies that I have never gone for before. ColourPop’s lip products in Solow and Tansy has made my fear of going for brown colors a thing of the past. All I need is one swipe of either one and I’m set.

Nails:

For manis and pedis, Deborah Lippmann’s new Spring 2016 collections have been my go-to for their bright, fun colors. Over the month of March I reached for All Day Sucker, a pastel lavender with pink tones, as my signature color.  IMG_3605
