It’s been about 2.5 weeks since Jake and I moved into our place that I have nicknamed, “The Red Door.” Moments have been spent unpacking boxes, making trips to stores, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, cooking and settling into this humble abode. I am truly in love with this open, airy gem and each day we are here it becomes more of a home filled with memories.
Happy March! Hope this month has kicked off on a beautiful note for each of you. This month feels like a pure, good one for some reason and I am glowing with all the energy I’m feeling from it. Speaking of feeling—the warm weather has certainly visited us on the East Coast making spring feel an arm’s reach away. You know how everyone has at least one favorite month? For a little mine was summer, mostly in high school, since that was the majority favorite. Then for a time in college it was fall and then it was winter. Now though, as the season changes, so does my favorite and you probably are thinking it already; yes, spring has become my new favorite.
I’m sorry bunches for being a bit M.I.A lately! I’ve been such a busy bee with working that making the time to sit down and write to ya’ll has been almost impossible. Luckily though, I’m finally typing away, on none other than my favorite day of the week, happy to share a style post with you featuring a delightful brand that I hope will put a smile on your faces.
Say hello to Daisy Natives, a magical brand created by an extraordinary babe named Sarah Lapp who curates some out-of-this-world tees for the little nerds, creators, unicorns, go-getters, brunch addicts and superwoman gals we all can be. I have been ga-ga over Daisy Natives ever since I came across this small brand on Instagram about a year ago. Since that time, I have watched Sarah Lapp’s bundle of joy grow more and more, which has been truly magical to witness. From her “Girls Support Girls” tee (stay tuned for a style post ft. it this week) that has grabbed millions of girls’ attention, and is currently being sold on ModCloth, to all of the epic sayings that are painted over each tee she comes out with—including the one I’ll be sharing with you today. With her authenticity and badass aura there’s no denying that Sarah is a dream-come-true for all of us quirky gals in the fashion world.
I’ll be sharing with ya’ll two style posts featuring my lil’ collection of tees (that will be growing, I’m sure) from Daisy Natives. And what more of a perfect way to start than with her “Mimosa Tee” on a Sunday? So grab yourself a glass of champagne + OJ and gain some style inspo with this bright number!
I am a diehard fan over mimosas. I could drink them by the pitcherfull and never have any regrets…well, until the next morning that is. Needless to say, I needed this tee in my life when my eyes landed on it. I swear Sarah makes all my thoughts a reality with what she creates. A mimosa tee for a mimosa babe. It’s a match made in brunch heaven. Paired with a trendy denim skirt, blush wedge-heeled espadrilles and a knotted head wrap you’ll be ready for any festivity you’re attending—including brunch, of course.
Snag your own Daisy Natives merch at www.daisynatives.com. Be sure to follow @daisynatives on Insta as well and show Sarah some love!
P.S. Stay tuned for the 2nd part of this fun series coming this week! <3

I’ve been on an adventure high recently, and I believe it has a lot to do with summer being right around the corner. June 20th, (the official start of summer) I’m ready for ya!
So, when it comes to summer adventures it’s all about my go-to sunny outfits, which if you remember my last style post consists of: simple pieces, sneakers and little details. Whether your discovering a new city, kicking it in your hometown, trekking through the mountains or having a spontaneous road trip with your friends, I think outfits that fit said criteria are the most fitting for any on-the-move festivity.
While I was in the middle of one of my own adventures, I snapped some photos of my outfit of the moment after I hopped off the train. Nothing was stopping me on this day, which happened to turn into one filled with many happenings. In a charcoal swing dress, Converse high-tops, matching socks and my favorite hat I was ready for everything. Doesn’t this hat kind of remind you of Indiana Jones too? Haha. It did for me when scrolling through these pics.
As for my accessories, besides my Indiana Jones hat, I believe a go-to bag that can fit all of your necessities, and not-so-necessary items, is a must. I call such carry-all’s that have tons of storage with room to spare, my grab-and-go bags. This knitted one from boohoo is just perfect for fitting my wallet, Nintendo 3DS (which I’ve been obsessed with), makeup bag, snacks, camera and much more; because a woman can never be too prepared.
How do your outfits fit into your summer adventures?

I’ve been soaking up these long, sweet and sunny days like no tomorrow. The warmer weather has finally hit home and I hope it never leaves. Now that the sun is back around more consistently, I’m all over breezy dresses, open-toe shoes, slip-on sneakers, skirts with slits and off-the-shoulder or open-shoulder tops—if that isn’t evident from my previous style post and this one, haha.
When it comes to my overall style when the temperature kicks up, I stick to simple outfits that create a statement or have subtle details. Take this open-shoulder blouse for instance; it’s a classic cut that is so easy to style, and the little details just give it a fresh spin I believe. From the navy embroidery to the color block tassels that tie in the back, this blouse has something going at every angle.
To keep all eyes focused on the blouse, I paired it with my favorite high-waisted jeans—surprise, surprise—and a pair of white slip-on kicks. I wanted to keep the fun going on with this blouse so “fun buns” it was in a half up, half down hair-do with a bright coral lippie from ColourPop Cosmetics. How could I not have fun with all these elements?! Especially with the poppin’ backdrop I was working with.
Being surrounded by such colorful flowers and overgrown foliage reminded me of one of my favorite childhood books, Where the Wild Things Are. Which instantenously made me feel like one of the wild things as well. *insert monkey emoji with hands covering eyes* I’m a cornball, I know, but hey one of my favorite happy feelings is nostalgia over childhood memories; especially when I find that they still put just as much of a smile on my face while “adulting.”
